Terms of service

Last updated October 31, 2026

These terms are an agreement between KRAKZILLA LLC, a Washington company ("Krakzilla", "we", "us"), and the business that signs up for Krakzilla ("you"). They're also Krakzilla's end-user license agreement. By creating an account or using Krakzilla, you agree to them on behalf of your business.

1. What Krakzilla does

Krakzilla connects to your QuickBooks Online company and your own Stripe account. It emails your invoices and reminders to your clients in your business's name, lets them pay online through Stripe, and records payments, deposits and fees in QuickBooks. You choose which invoices Krakzilla handles and how.

Payments are made to your Stripe account and paid out by Stripe to your bank. Krakzilla never holds your money, isn't a bank and doesn't lend.

2. Your account

  • Krakzilla is for businesses in the United States. The person who signs up must be allowed to bind the business to these terms.
  • Keep your sign-in secure, and give accurate information to us, to Intuit and to Stripe. You're responsible for what happens under your account, including by people you invite.
  • During the private beta, accounts are by invitation, and features may change.

3. QuickBooks

You authorize Krakzilla to read your QuickBooks Online data and to create and update payments, deposits, sales receipts, accounts, items and customer and invoice email addresses as described in the app. You can disconnect at any time. QuickBooks is a trademark of Intuit Inc.; Krakzilla isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Intuit, and Intuit isn't responsible for Krakzilla.

4. Payments and Stripe

Payment processing is provided by Stripe under the agreement you accept with Stripe when you set up payments, including Stripe's Connected Account Agreement and Services Agreement. You're the seller in every payment: refunds, disputes and failed bank payments are between you, your client and Stripe, as set out in Stripe's terms. You authorize Krakzilla to create payments on your Stripe account and to receive its fee from each one. When a client pays by bank, Stripe keeps that bank account on your Stripe account (Checkout tells them so), so they can pay your later invoices in one click; it's only ever debited when the client clicks Pay.

5. Fees

  • Bank transfer: 1% of each payment, never more than $15. Card, if you accept cards: 2.99% of each payment. Both include Stripe's processing fee; Krakzilla's fee is the rest, taken from each payment.
  • Stripe also charges your account directly, under its own pricing, for some things: currently $1.50 when a client connects a bank account by logging in to their bank, $4 for a failed bank payment and $15 for a dispute. These are the business's to pay; Krakzilla's fee doesn't change for them.
  • If you choose to pass the bank fee to your clients, you're responsible for making sure your contracts and the law allow it.
  • We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before raising our fees.

6. Your responsibilities to your clients

  • Your invoices, the amounts on them, and your relationship with your clients are yours. Make sure Krakzilla emailing your clients about their invoices fits your agreements with them.
  • Follow the laws that apply to your invoicing, collections, fees and communications. Krakzilla sends the invoices and reminders you set up; it isn't a collection agency.
  • Turn off QuickBooks' own invoice reminders and any other app that records Stripe payments in QuickBooks, as the setup steps ask, so clients aren't reminded twice and payments aren't recorded twice.
  • Check what Krakzilla records in QuickBooks, as you would with any bookkeeping, and match deposits in your bank feed.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use Krakzilla for anything illegal, fraudulent or that Stripe prohibits; to send messages that aren't about genuine invoices; or to interfere with, probe or copy the service. We may suspend an account that does, or that puts other users, clients or Krakzilla at risk.

8. Your data

Your data stays yours. You give us permission to use it only to provide and improve Krakzilla, as our privacy policy describes. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Krakzilla for your business while your account is open.

9. Ending

You can stop using Krakzilla and close your account at any time. We may end these terms with 30 days' notice, or immediately for a serious breach. Payments already started complete under Stripe's terms; our copy of your QuickBooks data is deleted as the privacy policy describes.

10. Warranties and liability

Krakzilla is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and during the beta it may change. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid Krakzilla in the 12 months before the claim. You'll cover our costs from claims that arise from your invoices, your fees to clients or your breach of these terms.

11. Changes and law

We may update these terms; we'll tell you by email at least 30 days before significant changes take effect, and the date above shows the current version. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, and disputes will be heard in its courts.
